As we enter the last 3rd of summer, we have been lucky enough to avoid some of the daily afternoon thunderstorms we often have and we’ve been doing some great catching.
Nearshore fishing for tarpon, false albacore tuna and sharks off New Smyrna Beach has been an option on a few days each week and will continue to be in the coming weeks. Big redfish around New Smyrna Beach have been on and off but the last week has been pretty good and the fishing for these should only get better as we continue through the summer. Snook have been on the move but when we find them, we catch them. Sight fishing with fly and spin tackle in Mosquito Lagoon has remained a fun option with decent to good water clarity.
